Although spring is still here, it is almost summertime around Georgia.
Time to color up the house. Time for garden work. Our staff reporters wanted to know the colors of their choices. Garden Clubs are in full swing. Paint suppliers can not keep up with demand. Contractors are making you wait.
Sensing the color mood of the beautful rich five included a survey. Calls in the hundreds were made to home owners.
Homes,  condo owners and renters in Johns Creek, Buckhead, Brookhaven were responsive to a phone survey by Georgia Weekly Post.
Dunwoody and Sandy Springs were sleeping in on Mother's Day. We were unable to obtain sufficient data showing the trend. Most of our calls were treated as sales calls! This report will be updated.
Reaching out, we wanted to know their "summer-to-do" list. Every summer, Georgia home owners are gearing up for home improvements.
Painting and planting are on the top of the list. You do not need a permit for that.

▲When asked, Home owners in Buckhead, Johns Creek and Brookhaven expressed their interest in warm colors. Warm gold red, yellow and brown are their choices in 2014. Fewer in Dunwoody and Sandy Springs responded to our questions. Trend is not clear.

Garden projects are featured by Georgia Weekly Post under a seprate report.

Our colors survey was conducted  by phone to determine the most populer home improvement projects and colors of choice for spring and summer of this year. Over half of home owners belive there is a room or two in their home that needs a coat of paint.

Choosing colors is a family affair. Age and gender are a factor.

Overall, colors of choice, according to our Survey are three. All of warm and neutrals.

"Color me" soft red or Brown or Yellow is the theme.

Neutrals seem to be popular among a third of those respondents to our Survey. Younger home owners including most men seem to like many dark rich colors, while those of 65 and above prefer light colors. Women, as predicted, prefer a soft and light aesthetic.

Painting homes are the second most populer project after kitchens and bathrooms remodeling. Painting the living room is the first choice, followed by the bedrooms and the bathrooms.
