Voters of the City of Johns Creek elect Jay Lin, an Asian American to it's city council.

As a child growing up in Taiwan, where free speech was not a constitutional right, Jay deeply values the importance of liberty and freedom. He wanted to give his family every possible opportunity to live the American dream. "I want to give back to Georgia by public service," he said.

He wanted to give his family every possible opportunity to live the American dream. They told Georgia weekly Post..  "I want to give back to Georgia and the United States by public service," he said.

 

Voters of the City of Johns Creek elected Jay Lin, an Asian American to it's city council on Tuesday.

They awarded him 53% of the votes in a run off election. 

Lin will be serving a term of four years.

Jay and his wife, Mimi reside in the Johns Creek community.

Jay Lin has been a long-time resident of the Atlanta area for nearly 30 years.  "As a businessman, Jay has 20 years of entrepreneurship and business experience in the Atlanta area," said a close friend.

Paul Maner, Candidate for Georgia State Senate and his wife Paula were among many friends, joining Mimi and jay Lin in a late night of celebrations. Voters of the City of Johns Creek elected Jay Lin, an Asian American to it's city council for a four years term,

 

Lin is currently the president and CEO of Pacific Ventures Inc., a Georgia-based construction firm, which has been involved in residential and commercial building and development since 1996. 
Jay moved to the United States 26 years ago, and has called Georgia home ever since.

Jay and Mimi have two grown children, Kevin and Katie, both of whom have graduated from Northview High School.
